Kateryna Timokhina-Haupt is a Swiss-Ukrainian violinist who has already made a name for herself as a highly sought-after chamber musician and soloist. With her commanding stage presence, virtuosity, and a warm and powerful sound, she captivates audiences both in Switzerland and abroad.

Already at the age of 12, she made her debut as a soloist with the Kiev-Camerata State Orchestra and has performed as a soloist with orchestras or as a chamber musician in various ensembles in Ukraine, Switzerland, Germany, France, Austria, Italy, Sweden, Hungary, Bulgaria, and Israel. She pursued her solo studies at the Zurich University of the Arts and the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz.

She has participated in numerous international masterclasses and has won numerous competitions, scholarships, and support awards. For example, in 2010, she won the "Nicati de Luze" competition in Lausanne, in 2011, a scholarship from the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation and the "Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now" foundation, and in 2019, a «Förderpreis» from the Marianne and Curt Dienemann Foundation in Lucerne.

After completing her studies at the Zurich University of the Arts, Kateryna became a member of the Southwest German Philharmonic Orchestra in Constance (DE). After three years as an orchestral musician, she returned to Switzerland and devoted herself more to her chamber music and teaching activities.

In 2016, she released her first CD titled "Inspired," which showcases the highlights of her years of study, and in 2018, she published a CD in collaboration with pianist Anna Artemenko and Swiss Germanist Patrick Weber, titled "Princess Alronk and the Magic Crystal" by S. T. Goodman.
